Ski Bus in Mayrhofen

The stop is called “Mayrhofen Laubichl Camping” and is right next to the hotel. Ski bus line D of the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen stops here in both directions.

Travel times from Laubichl Camping

• Mayrhofen railway station: approx. 5 minutes
• Penken cable car: approx. 10 minutes
• Horberg cable car: approx. 10 minutes
• Ahorn cable car: approx. 13 minutes

In winter 2025/26, line D ran about every 25 minutes during the day; the last buses back to the hotel left the valley stations at around 5.15 pm. You will find the exact times for winter 2026/27 in the official timetable as soon as it is published (links below).

With the guest card

As a hotel guest you receive the guest card of the Mayrhofen-Hippach holiday region. In winter it lets you use the local ski bus network free of charge – even without skis, for example for a winter walk or a stroll through the village centre.

With the ski pass

With a valid Zillertal Superskipass (season 04.12.2026 to 11.04.2027) you travel free of charge on all ski buses in the Zillertal on your way to and from the lifts, as well as on the trains and buses of the Zillertaler Verkehrsbetriebe (except the steam train).

Arriving by train

From 04.12.2026 to 11.04.2027 the digital guest card also serves as a ticket for the Zillertalbahn from Jenbach – for your arrival and departure.

Please show your guest card or ski pass to the driver when boarding.

The ski bus in front of the hotel goes directly to the lifts in Mayrhofen. For the other ski areas in the valley, change at Mayrhofen railway station – line D takes you there in about 5 minutes.

• Hintertux Glacier: with the “Green Line” from Mayrhofen station in approx. 35 minutes. Free with the Superskipass from 18.12.2026 to 11.04.2027.
• Zillertal Arena (Zell am Ziller): with the Zillertalbahn to Zell (approx. 12 minutes), then by ski bus to the Rosenalmbahn.
• Hochzillertal (Kaltenbach): with the Zillertalbahn to Kaltenbach (approx. 24 minutes), then a few minutes on foot to the valley station.
• Spieljoch (Fügen): with the Zillertalbahn to Fügen (approx. 35 minutes), then by ski bus to the Spieljochbahn.

Lift operating times

• Penken and Horberg cable cars: 04.12.2026 to 11.04.2027
• Ahorn cable car: 12.12.2026 to 04.04.2027
• Last ascent of the valley lifts at 4.30 pm, operation until 5 pm

Good to know

• On foot to the Penken cable car: about 1.5 km or 20 minutes – handy if you want to be on the slopes before the first bus.
• Parking at the valley stations: there is no parking at the Penken cable car; at the Horberg cable car parking is free, at the Ahorn cable car there is a fee. The ski bus is more convenient.
• Ski room at the hotel: skis and boots stay overnight in our ski room with heated boot dryer. Paid ski depots are also available at the valley stations.

The “Mayrhofen Laubichl Camping” stop is right at the hotel. Ski bus line D stops there.

Is the ski bus free?

Yes. With the guest card you receive as a hotel guest, the local ski bus network is free. With a valid Zillertal Superskipass, all ski buses in the Zillertal are free.

Which ski areas can I reach directly from the hotel?

Line D goes to the Penken, Ahorn and Horberg cable cars. For the Hintertux Glacier, Zillertal Arena, Hochzillertal and Spieljoch, change at Mayrhofen railway station.

Can I use the ski bus without skis?

Yes. With the guest card you can also use the local ski bus network free of charge as a pedestrian.

Do I need a car for my winter holiday?

No. You can travel to Mayrhofen on the Zillertalbahn, and once here the ski bus takes you to the lifts. If you come by car, you park free of charge at the hotel.
